چکیده
Introduction. Saliva plays an important role in maintaining oral health. Its buffer capacity helps neutralise acidic products from food, drinks and dental plaque. composition, quantitative qualitative properties, such as acidity, are associated with the occurrence of caries, non-carious lesions periodontitis. The aim study was to examine change salivary acidity after taking carbonated mineral water sugar-sweetened soda subjects aged 18 25 years. Materials method. research conducted at Dentistry Clinic Vojvodina on 30 adult subjects. Salivary measured a digital pH meter before, 5, 10 20 minutes 200 ml soda. obtained results were statistically processed by mixed, combined analysis variance. Results. Consumption led examined time intervals. Carbonated reduced recovers reaching levels close initial value. After soda, value dropped. It reached lowest mean 5 beverage, then increased slightly without In some subjects, minimum below considered critical for enamel dentin demineralisation. Conclusion. affected within period consumption. Consuming can have adverse effects
